Brenda Dickson's Second Act: Part Three

Well hello! And welcome to the third part of Popsucker's in-depth coverage of the Brenda Dickson phenomenon. I have to admit, I've been pretty mean to Brenda so far, using phrases like "washed-up," "cry for help," and "Shaggy D.A." (Actually, that last one wasn't me.) But in this segment, I think we'll see another side of Brenda Dickson: a victim of the Hollywood machine.

For instance, if you thought I was cruel, check out the above clip from The Soup, which (along with Extra) edits footage from her recent legal trouble and from her infamous self-improvement video to make her look even crazier than she already is. What happened to poor Brenda? How did she go from The Young and the Restless, to Welcome to My Home, to thrown out of her home? Find out after the jump!

This next video comes from a cable-TV special on The Young and the Restless, in which Brenda tells the ugly story of the behind-the-scenes power struggle that effectively ended in her television. It's like a soap opera within a soap opera! But even with her crazy soap-opera delivery of her side of the story and the emphatic denials from the show's producer, it's hard not to feel that she was treated unfairly when it comes to the professional and--yikes--medical problems that ended her daytime career. Take a look:

Oh, Brenda! It's like Soapdish or something.

But she's back. Not only on YouTube, where her star shines brighter than ever, but on her own website, www.BrendaDickson.com (naturally), where you can see photos of Brenda today and read her own (um... lengthy) narration of the legal troubles that landed her in jail.

Aw, we love you, Brenda--albeit with that sometimes cruel, but always forgiving love that only exists between a gay and his diva. Good luck. And thank you for welcoming us to your home.

And girls who like girls who like stuff!
