Three Women Enlisted For Star Trek?

A few different sources are reporting and speculating on new additions to the cast of J.J. Abram's upcoming Star Trek film, and all are of the feminine persuasion.
Most officially (and most bizarrely), Variety is reporting that Winona Rider has joined the cast as the mother of Spock, played by Zachary Quinto. Since the actors are only 6 years apart in age, it's not clear whether she'll appear in flashbacks or during the main plot of the film. In current Star Trek canon, Spock's mother was human, so there shouldn't be any of that funny alien aging business to deal with. I know that actresses have trouble getting parts after 35, but she's not looking that haggard.
Next, Rachel Nichols, who worked with Abrams for like, five minutes during the last season of Alias, announced to the Toronto Sun that she's got a good shot at a role in the film, but nothing's set in stone.
[Y]es, there's a good chance you'll see my shining face in the new Star Trek ... There's a lot of buzz about it, but honestly, I don't even know the name of my character.
Lastly, IESB looked over pictures from the set of the film and saw someone that looked suspiciously like Jennifer Morrison from House. And sure, the picture looks like her, but then so does half of Hollywood. I mean, no offense, but her look just isn't that unique.
So any of these gals make you more likely to stand in line right now? Or maybe you're completely offended and ready to stage a boycott. I'm always glad to see Winona in something high profile, but I have to say I'm pretty squicked thinking about her pushing Sylar from her babyhole. Those eyebrows must have tickled like crazy!
