Vote For Your Favorite Gay TV Characters

AfterElton.com is looking to name the top 25 most popular gay and bisexual television characters, and you can help. Based on reader submissions, they've set up a pretty comprehensive poll where you can choose up to 10 names you think deserve to be in the great gay pantheon. Xandir from Drawn Together? He's on there. Gay Larry from Buffy the Vampire Slayer? He's there too. Nathanial Baltimore from Saul of the Molemen? He's there, and considering maybe four people in the world watched the show, that's kind of impressive.
The list skews a little new, hence the absence of characters like Bewitched's Uncle Arthur and the presence of that brand new gay couple on Desperate Housewives, who so far have only had a chance to be kind of catty and obvious. The last option lets you write in a candidate, so if you really feel someone important has been left off, feel free to take advantage of that. Sadly, ladies are not the purview of AfterElton.com, so keep an eye out to see if their sister site AfterEllen.com sets up a similar poll for bisexual women and lesbians on television.
So who makes your list? I'll have to think about mine a little bit, but one of the my top choices will definitely be bisexual Tim Bayless from Homicide: Life in the Street. He was one of the first queer guys I saw on TV at a time when I knew that I was gay, but didn't know exactly what that meant. Also Stimpy, from Ren and Stimpy, because he's a cat.
