Mysteries of Generation by Elaine Duigenan

Over at Elaine Duigenan Photography, some deeply, deeply, deeply disturbing (oh yeah, and also gorgeous) shots of dead things floating in jars.
What's surprising about this series, Mysteries of Generation, is that in depicting the preserved remains of fetal animals, among other things, Duigenan manages to be more than merely morbid. She's also quite tender towards her subjects. Some of these images are just a little sad, or even strangely comforting, and all of them are impeccably lit and composed.
Even so, not for the faint of heart, or queasy of stomach—but that never stopped you before, did it? Click here to check it out.

Warning! Catholic kids should avoid watching the Hyla Maxima (people) and Ophiura (people). They will be raised. Respect for the dead.
