Anne Rice To Hillary: "You Go Girlfriend!!!1!"
Here's a celebrity endorsement that might have just a wee bit more resonance with the Popsucker crowd than, um, this one.
Vampire novelist/goth goddess/PFLAG-hag Anne Rice has come out for Hillary in '08 in the wake of the senator's surprise New Hampshire win. You all know which way I'm biased here (no, hotness is not actually my sole criterion), and Rice has a reputation as a slightly loopy lady, but I think she makes a pretty strong argument, for an entertainer. E.g.:
In '93, Hillary tried to get us health care, and she was shot down. We all know about that. I think she was prophetic. Today, I think we all know that the health care system is in trouble, and we all want it to change.Health care is a pretty important issue to me in this election, and I'm not totally satisfied with Obama's plan.

I'm amused that the accompanying ad to the left is an "Is Hillary Finished?" one.
As for Anne's endorsement, who cares... I mean I liked her books (even the Sleeping Beauty ones, even if I might have skipped some of the more graphic parts involving the icky female bits ;-) Considering this is the first time I've heard of Anne Rice being even remotely politically active, I say thee "whatever."
