Marrying Your Twin? Play These At The Reception!

Inspired by the recent twin-marriage scandal (which may be a hoax?), WFMU has posted a short playlist of incest-themed country/western songs, including mp3s! The tunes are:

• "I'm In Love With My Sister" by Robert Owens (self-explanatory)


• "Six Broken Hearts" by Red Sovine (a philandering pa must stop a wedding between two unwitting half-siblings),

  and, best of all



• "I'm My Own Grandpa" by Lonzo & Oscar (a widow's new husband's father falls in love with the husband's new stepdaughter; now the widow is pregnant with her husband's new uncle. Yeah, my brain hurts too)

So, go there! Listen! Just try not to draw any conclusions about, say, what sort of people are listening to country music. What these songs actually prove is that country music and Greek tragedy are basically the same thing.
