McDonald's "Asian Room"

What a sincerely odd viral website from McDonald's. The URL is i-am-asian.com, and when you go there, you're greeted with a picture of somebody's living room, and....not much actual content other than that. There's...origami hanging from the ceiling. That's pretty Asian, right? And there are mini-biographies of some McDonald's employees who are Asian. And when you mouse over the CDs on the shelf, some music plays! Feel that generic Asian groove.

I can't help feeling that this is an awkward misstep in Mickey D's effort to uphold their diverse image. And the site was apparently much, much tackier a while ago. I'm all for multiculturalism, but seriously, McDonald's...this lacks subtlety.
