Neal Stephenson Chic: The Young Ladies Illustrated Primer
Fans of metawriter Neal Stephenson will enjoy this rendering of an image from The Diamond Age featuring Mr Hackworth, his mechanical chevaline, and the infamous piece of nanotechnology masquerading as a book entitled "The Young Ladies Illustrated Primer," which turns one lucky little girl into a mastermind and polymath.
The artist, Izzy Medrano, has done a wonderful job of capturing Stephenson's "post-scifi" and "post-steampunk" aesthetic, in which technology merges so seamlessly with the world that it appears magical, but is by no means safe and sterile the way future tech is so often oversimplified.
