R.I.P. Vampira
It is with a heavy heart that Popsucker must announce the passing of Maila Numi, a.k.a. Vampira, who passed away last week at the age of 86.
The Finnish-born horror hostess was a television trendsetter, combining sex appeal with proto-goth panache, but she will probably be best remembered for her work in films like the classic Plan 9 from Outer Space—widely regarded as the single worst film of all time, but beloved by generations of fans.

Have to say, I know she was more an imitation and certainly more low rent, but I always enjoyed Elvira more. That said, sad to hear this news.
