Witchblade Anime Slices Its Way Onto IFC
The Japanese anime adaptation of the Top Cow comic book series Witchblade has begun airing stateside on the IFC network. Similarly to the cult live-action series which once aired on TNT, Witchblade features a feisty young woman who discovers a glove with powerful destructive capabilities.
I managed to catch the premiere on Friday, which was a bit heavy on exposition and only featured a tiny bit of cool bladeslinging action. Still, future episodes may be worth investigating.
