Arnett Out As Voice of KITT

Ain't It Cool passes on word from Variety that the voiceover of Arrested Development's Will Arnett will be replaced in the forthcoming Knight Rider TV movie... by none other than Val Kilmer.
Well, there goes my one reason for watching this thing. I mean, I know Val Kilmer is a big star and all, but let's face it, if I wanted to better acquaint myself with his work I could just get a plane. (Get it? I'm saying his movies are bad, like the movies they show on airlines.) As we have established, Will Arnett is 100% human hilarity, and 75% of that is the amazing sound of his voice. Without his work, this is going to be yet another embarrassing TV nostalgia trip.
Why the last-minute change? Because Will Arnett already voices GMC truck commercials, and the Knight Rider thing is apparently intended to be a giant orgy of product placement for the Ford Mustang. Conflict of interest, y'see. With a frickin' truck commercial.
Hey David Lynch, what do you think of product placement in Hollywood? (Um, NSFW.)

I'm surprised that they didn't pick Mike Rowe, since he shills for Ford and can be very funny at times.
