Awesome Steampunk-y Wooden Contraptions

I may not know much about art, but I know what you like, and honey, you love this. Artist Mike Rea is one of these guys who builds awesome, sci-fi lookin' devices out of primitive materials (in this case, wood) for a crazy mashup of high tech and low. This is a picture of his time machine, Brown Thunder, accompanied by a pair of inventor/adventurers from the past come to explore our crazy future-world! (Full-size here.)
Mike Rea's other inventions include a giant killer battlemech (A Prosthetic Suit for Stephen Hawking w/ Japanese Steel, here), an anti-aircraft gun of some kind (Lysistrata, here) and even a Theremin (Vestigial Organ, here), among many many other tools, weapons, and musical instruments, all made out of wood.
See? I knew you'd love it. You can thank me in the comments.
Michael T. Rea
