Criteria

As something of a movie nerd, I've discovered that I enjoy the new blog at the Criterion Collection website, On Five, which gives a little peak into how those perfect, perfect little video packages come together.
Want to know why their Berlin Alexanderplatz is a half-hour longer than the European version? Want to know how the cover art was designed? Now you can!
But they've gone totally meta this week, as part of their drool-inducing buildup to the Ice Storm DVD, with a look behind the scenes of the making of their look behind the scenes of the film. That's right, it's the making of the making-of. Check it out. The best part is the inclusion of a deleted scene from the making-of, in which Kevin Kline apologizes for, basically, sabotaging his amazing 70s costumes. Bastard! Well, good to hear he's had a change of heart.
