IRL Femme Nikita Murdered In Moscow

Real-life glamor model and personal bodyguard? That was the life of Russian cover model Anna Loginova, who was killed during a carjacking this week at the age of 29 - after building a career out of pulling double duty as both a fashion icon and bodyguard for the Russian elite. Loginova appeared on magazine covers and in ads for companies such as BMW - and she was also an expert in martial arts and the secrets to navigating the Russian criminal underworld.
More than just a status symbol, being a female bodyguard in Russia meant that Anna could go places that her more recognizable male counterparts could not - such as sitting at the table during dinners and events. She provided security services for clients such as Russian boxer Kostya Tszyu.
No stranger to carjackings, Loginova only recently foiled another carjacking attempt:
"So while I was closing my car, a guy of 30 years old or slightly older jumped on me," Loginova said. "So I did a jujitsu move -- I bent his hand that grabbed mine, and struck him in the face with my elbow. It was a total surprise for him."
"As he was leaning back covering his face, I pulled a pistol from my bag and aimed it at him. He obviously realized that was no joke," she said. "Then a car immediately pulled up nearby, something like a Honda, a dark car, and he jumped into it. And I still stood there with my pistol. I was actually spooked too."
Her skills couldn't save her a second time, however, and Loginova died after being thrown from her car by her attackers.
