Tori Spelling In Gay Cthulhu Movie

cthulhu.jpg

Okay so the good news is that Guillermo Del Toro is apparently still going to make this Lovecraft movie when he's done with that whole hobbit thing.

The completely frickin' insane news is that besides 2010's Del Toro-helmed Mountains of Madness and the recent Cthulhu silent movie apparently there's this other new Lovecraft movie that was on the festival circuit last year, only, if the advance reviews are any indication, it's not so much a Lovecraft adaptation as it is a gay-themed but also Lovecraft-themed creeper with Tori Spelling in it.

Okay before you reach for the barf bags I'll ask you to recall that Tori was in fact quite amusing in treacly queer rom-com Trick and dysfunctional-family black comedy House of Yes. So there is a distinct possibility that her presence in this movie will be totally bearable. And it sounds like the cinematography is going to be really good, too...?

All I'm sayin' is, don't rule this one out, yo. Might be worth a rental when it finally turns up on a shelf near you.

My husband is an extra in that movie! We've been waiting for it to come out for ages, but I hear it's available for rent somewhere. Maybe netflix. Anyway, he gets to hold some guns in a wake scene, and is also a bloody arm stand-in for a car wreck scene.
