My Rick In A Box
Being a minor Donnie Darko fan, and having just recently watched Southland Tales (and being one of the dozen or so people that liked it), I'm in a bit of a Richard Kelly frenzy right now. So I'm pretty excited about his newest upcoming film, The Box, which is based upon Richard Matheson's 1970 short story Button, Button.
You might recognize the premise from an old Twilight Zone episode that was also adapted from Matheson's story. A stranger carrying a box with a push-button on it offers a married couple an unusual proposition: if they press the button, they'll receive a large quantity of money, but somebody they don't know will die. Kelly's production promises to be an extended and quite elaborate version of the tale, doubtlessly with plenty of twists, turns, and probably time travel for some reason.
James Marsden and Cameron Diaz play the lead roles. Production on The Box wrapped last month, though no clear release date has been set.

My college professor/theater mentor was Costume Supervisor on this movie.
And I'm really excited to see it.
