Heavy Stuff From Young-Hae Chang

yhchang.JPG

The work of Seoul-based artist Young-Hae Chang is a little hard to pin down. It's done in Flash, but it's not exactly animation. It's composed of text, but it's not presented like a conventional piece of prose or poetry.

Perhaps it's best to simply describe Young-Hae Chang Heavy Industries in the simplest of terms. Each of Chang's pieces consists of a stream of consciousness narrative or essay presented one teeny tiny chunk at a time, to the beat of a jazz song. It's something that really needs to be experienced in order to be appreciated, so I have to recommend that you do so.

Ironically enough, "The End" is a pretty good place to start. Be wary, epileptics. You're in for a bad time.

And girls who like girls who like stuff!
