The Informers Defanged

Dick move, Hollywood. It appears that the supernatural elements in the Informers novel, which include some central vampire characters, have been ditched for the upcoming film adaptation. A poor decision, in my opinion, though it seems that author Bret Easton Ellis himself may have had something to do with it. Speculatively, it's possible that Ellis was afraid of the film being improperly pegged as a horror movie.

Currently in the postproduction stage, The Informers will be the late Brad Renfro's final film.
