Cronenberg Gets Down And Dirty

I don't know if I quite buy the rumor that David Cronenberg had sex with his wife in front of the stars of A History of Violence. That sounds a bit odd even for him. And this is the guy who directed the Naked Lunch movie.

Still, this interview with Cronenberg about sex and violence in movies is sort of interesting.

Sex and violence have always got on very well together, like bacon and eggs. If you look at the history of cinematic violence, there is always a sexual component in violence and a violent component in sexuality. To me that's just a natural thing to explore.
