Ghost In The Shell In All 3 Of The Glorious D's

What is it with all the American film adaptations of anime in the works these days?

A U.S. remake of Ghost in the Shell could be pretty good, but let's be honest...there's a fairly decent chance that it won't be.

Still, with DreamWorks having acquired the rights and Steven Spielberg expressing a personal interest in the project, not to mention it reportedly being both live-action and in 3-D (are we talking, like...with glasses?), I'll admit my curiosity is piqued.
