"Miscarriage Art" Revealed As Hoax

miscarriagehoax.jpg

It turns out that that miscarriage art project from the other day was for play-play, not for real-real. In addition to a petroleum jelly mixture purported to be aborted tissue, the "performance art" exhibit included the distribution of a phony press release. Pro-lifers and pro-choicers alike seem rather unamused.

Ah, beautiful Drawn Together reference.

I must be a callous pig. By the time you get to the end of the article, I was laughing pretty hard.

Good on her; as performance art goes, I think it was brilliant.

actually it's really unclear if it's a hoax or not. shvarts keeps saying in public that she did indeed go forward with the "artificial insemination" and use of abortifacients and Yale keeps saying, "haha, no really she totally told us it's fake, seriously we would never allow that to happen. hey! what's that? look over there." i'm kinda interested to see the video. i wonder if she faked the menstruation. and it wasn't "a petroleum jelly mixture purported to be aborted tissue" but petroleum jelly mixed with menstruation blood from the use of the abortifacients. of course whether or not it's real blood is also yet to be determined
