One sure way for a resident of San Francisco to know you're not from there is to say, "Frisco" or "San Fran". If you do move to one of the greatest cities in the world, you'll have to start saying San Francisco. It's really not that difficult. Besides with people like that on the streets, and yes they're really there, it's worth it.
Very true re: above "Frisco" comment, however these are so HEE-FUCKING-LARIOUS I'm perfectly willing to overlook it. Market Street is like an old time carny side show...and I don't mean that in a good way.
