Shia To Star In Indy 5?

George Lucas has reportedly proposed a hypothetical fifth Indiana Jones movie where Shia LaBeouf is the main character and Indy plays a Connery-esque secondary role. A recent study suggests that this is the worst idea that anybody has ever had.
"I haven't even told Steven [Spielberg] or Harrison this," he said. "But I have an idea to make Shia [LaBeouf] the lead character next time and have Harrison come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out."
Can you, George? Can you really? The same way you could see Indiana Jones and the Saucer Men From Mars working out? No, seriously.

Back during production, word of Shia being groomed to take over as the lead later was going around. Expect it to happen.

Please. It's not even the worst idea that George Lucas has ever had. See also: Star Wars Episodes I-III.
Um, hello, they DID make the Saucer Men movie, they just added the crystal skull, switched some characters around and gave it a different title.
And I loved it, I don't care what anybody says.
And don't tell me aliens are silly. It says something about our education standards when people think aliens aren't plausible, but mythical deities are.
