Heinz Yanks Gay Mayo Ad
A British commercial for Heinz mayonnaise has caused a bit of a stir, and Heinz has pulled the ad in response. Viewers reportedly complained that the gay kiss was offensive and unsuitable for children.
American pundit Bill O'Reilly also commented on the commercial in an entirely reasonable and respectful manner. Just kidding, he was a total dick as usual.
Weirdly, this is almost a total inversion of the controversy generated by last year's Snickers commercial, which was pulled due to protests from gays. In this case, British gay rights group Stonewall is calling for a boycott of Heinz for not continuing to air the mayo ad.

Aww the first link is down, O'Reilly to the rescue though.
I actually thought that was an awesome commercial.
p.s. Gender blending sounds like a nazi experiment to me for some reason.
Dunno, to me "gender blending" sounds like the new happy hour slogan to sell daiquiris anywhere in P-Town.
The commercial was awesome though. Too bad Heinz got chicken-y.
Seems the facebook signatures have over 2000 now and the complaints were over 200.
Seems that if they are going on numbers then the petitions should win. This is a classic case of knee-jerk reaction to something people find "offensive". Lets be realistic people "offended" by this ad are more then likely "offended" by a lot of other things and their opinion should not be taken with any serious tone. I'm not saying don't listen to complaints but don't listen to obvious bigotry and people who just want something to complain about.
The UK passed the bill to allow same sex couples and that was all fine and dandy but just because there is a peck on the lips from 2 guys on TV the ad needs to be pulled? There is a bit of a discrepancy there. These people who claim that they now needed to explain to their children about same sex couples and what-not after they saw the ad didn't need to do so when it was all over the news channels and news papers at the time of passing the Bill?
