Hero Coming To A TV Near You

A TV adaptation of Perry Moore's gay teen superhero book Hero appears to be go for launch. Stan Lee himself is backing the project, and two networks have made offers to produce the series, described as a sort of amalgam of Lost and Heroes.
This could be a truly groundbreaking show if it ends up happening, but I think they'll probably name it something other than Hero, unless they want people to confuse it with Heroes.

Yuck!
I found the book to be horrible, I find Perry Moore to be insufferable and a TV-show based on it bothers me even more than a movie.
On the plus side this should be great if DC decides to do a JLA TV-show as they could use the costumes or something from the lame JLA rip-offs in Hero.
I actually enjoyed this "short story" (there is much that could have been edited to make the book succinct) and found that I connected with the protagonist more through his hardships than an interest in his abilities. We will see what they push in the show.
As long as it's nothing like Ugly Betty meets Heroes, I'll watch it. Stan Lee will surely monitor this one.
