New Hitchhiker's Guide To Be Written By Artemis Fowl Author

The author of the Artemis Fowl fantasy children's book series (which, although inventive, never quite reached Potteresque popularity) has been given the go-ahead to write a new addition to the late Douglas Adams' perhaps slightly more popular Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series.
Sounds like the new book will include the series' key players, including Ford Prefect and the long-suffering Arthur Dent. No doubt that will be an interesting endeavor, particularly if one takes into account the events of Mostly Harmless, the last Hitchhiker's book that Adams completed before his death in 2001.

This infuriates me, actually.
I know that Adams was considering turning one of his other novels into a HHGTTG book after he noticed it was straying from his original plan and to make up for the bleak finale, but it seems weird to have someone else actually write the book.
I suppose the radio drama's happy ending wasn't by Adams either though and I actually rather liked it.
Sort of wish that maybe Neil Gaiman or Stephen Fry or maybe someone else a bit closer to Adams were responsible for it though.
