Total Request Dead
I gotta be honest, guys...I totally did not know that TRL was even still on the air. And as it goes, it won't be for much longer.
MTV's penultimate music video request show (by "music video" I of course mean a thirty-second clip from an actual entire music video) will be shutting down in November after a full decade of airtime. My inner 'N Sync fan shall shed a thousand tears.

That's good news if it means that the same five songs will be drilled into people's minds less often. And maybe that squeal of desperation will become a less common behavior, too. That'd be such a relief.
