Well, I suppose it could be worse. The anime's creators will allegedly be involved in the film's production. And I dunno, the thought of Keanu Reeves with green hair is...maybe kind of awesome?

Then again, Spike is a man of few words, and we know Keanu can do the strong and silent type (see: The Matrix), so maybe it won't suck ass?
Oh, who am I kidding? If this movie even gets made, it'll suck all kinds of ass. I have to go watch the anime movie again now to feel better.

I don't know about how he will do in the role (one can only hope, you know?) but I think a good part of why he was picked was for how he looks - he kinda looks like Spike. Kinda.

Meh...I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of Keanu, but Spike never struck me as that Charismatic either. He might be able to pull it off, though he wouldn't be my first choice. Still, I'm reminded of how annoyed I was when I heard Tom Cruise was going to play Lestat and Heath Ledger play the Joker.
Now, as I read on another forum, Bruce Willis would be a good choice for Jet.

Keanu Reeves is "The man of the thousand identical faces", so i can see how it might be crap.
he already ruined Jhon Constantine and klathu, so .... meh
