Stop Stop Power Rangers

There was some movie called Watchmen showing this weekend that I'd never heard of; someone sure dropped the ball on that hype machine. Apparently, though, it's doing relatively well for what I assume is a movie about timepiece repairmen. Despite my secret affinity for watch technicians who have blotchy faces and glowing blue genitalia for some reason, I instead opted for rewatching old episodes of Power Rangers in light of what appears to be the show's announced cancellation.
Power Rangers lasted 17 seasons and was the American localization of the Japanese Super Sentai Series. The current season, Power Rangers: RPM, will be the final chapter in the series, according to production manager Sally Campbell.
This may be the end of an era, but I'm not convinced it's the last we'll see of the Rangers. Sure, helmets and spandex have never been quite as popular as they were in the mid-nineties, but sooner or later, everything comes back into style. And from the sound of things, we may actually see some new episodes of Emo Rangers fairly soon!
