Video: Saturday Morning Watchmen
To celebrate the release of the new Watchmen movie, here's the opening titles to the rarely seen Watchmen Saturday morning cartoon that ran on Fox Kids back in the late eighties. I remember my favorite episodes -- what was yours?
Seriously, though, I don't know where this came from, but it's supremely awesome. It's so wrong it's right. Actually, it's so wrong it's awesome.

...like seriously?
nite owl loves to party down?
rorschach is clowning around?
silk specter sings at an arena?
ozymandias has a pink dog-thing?
doc manhattan is a freaking car?
and the comedian just wants a kiss from silk specter? but he's not getting it...
is that the reason why he rapes her?
but dang: worst. out. of. character. presentations. ever.
...ever!
and don't get me started about ozymandias throwing the comedian out the window, and then saving him... or doc manhattan wearing a short instead of being nude.
seriously, it's not wrong that it's right. it's just wrong.
actually, jonathan, that silk spetre was his daughter, which makes it even more twisted!!! loved it loved it loved it, from an rabid avid watchmen fan. loved it!!! more!!!
Err... I hope jonathan is kidding?
@ mat:
hopefully that's silk specter I instead of silk specter II, otherwise it really adds another level of omfg creepiness.
@ cgi_joe:
trust me, I'm not kidding. I wish I was kidding. I adore watchmen... And the fact that they changed almost everything about them, to make them (more) kids friendly just saddens me.
seriously... if you want to do it, do it right or just don't bother.
... Jonathan, it's a joke. This never existed, it's someone making fun of the whole thing.
Oh, and as far as the "pink dog-thing," that's Bubastis from the comic just cartooned up. You know, the magenta lynx thing Adrian created?
I kept expecting Gary and Ace to show up.
For a hot second there, I actually thought it was real. Ya know, Saturday morning cartoons based on movies that are extremely bloody, ultra violent and wildly-inappropriate-for-young-audiences HAS happened...Toxic Avenger, anyone?
Hahahahaha!
This is a brilliant parody!
How many times have they taken a good movie/manga/whatever and dumbed it down to pablum so they could sell toys and sugared cereal to kids?
Imagine what the wacky cartoon adventures of Kid Miracleman(or Marvelman) would look like!
