Eurovision 2009: We Have A Winner! (And He's Adorable!)
I love Eurovision. It is the most wonderfully cheesy spectacle, and if BBC America would see fit to bring it to our shores even in a highly condensed format I might actually watch that channel again. So I have to make do with YouTube to watch any of the performances. I present to you Norway's winning entry, "Fairytale," as sung by the adorably smiley Alexander Rybak. I didn't think much of the tune until about halfway through and then the hook grabbed me and wouldn't let me go. I'm a sucker for cheesy Europop. And it doesn't hurt that Alexander is just the cutest thing. Sometimes his smile veers into crazy face, but I prefer to think he's just overexcitable. Love it!

Ahem, the oficial Eurovision Song Contest site at eurovision.tv has on-demands streams of the whole final show. I believe they even had a live stream, but luckily us Europeans can't seem to get away from it on our national TV stations.
Crazy face!? >:D Well at least he doesn't care if he loses his mind... Also, I'd want sexy norse men doing push ups and hand springs around me any day!
I was voting for Ukraine and Portugal!
This kid has the Zac Effron appeal, ie, no appeal at all!
Although I am now looking forward to Eurovision Oslo 2010!
Not my type but I'll take one of those hot dancer dudes flipping around.
