Trekkies Bash New Star Trek Film As 'Fun, Watchable'
From the Entertainment Desk of the Onion News Network comes this scathing report on the new Star Trek film from J.J. Abrams. It seems that Trekkies across the country are coming out to protest this new installment in the aging franchise for unfairly maligning the vision of Gene Roddenberry, whoever that is. The real question here, though, is what do the Trekkers think? Did anyone ask them? Do you have their number? I'm curious...

Haven't seen it but the preview showed two people sword-fighting in space while standing on an exploding star ship.
That didn't look much like Star Trek to me. It looks like they made big, action packed Hollywood bullshit and stuck the Star Trek brand name on it. I'm not even a Trekkie but I expect a certain something from the Star Trek franchise, which is supposed to be about exploration (hence the name.)
