Now that it's summer, it's time to catch some rays. So why not use something that'll help you catch those rays and keep 'em? Well, in this day of 45+ SPF sunscreen, it's hard to recall that back in the day deep dark George Hamil-Tans were all the rage. But how best to get and keep that look? Oh, honey, no. A doily on your head isn't going to protect you from the sun's harmful rays if all you've done is baste yourself in baby oil. No wonder you look so despondent.
To their credit, at least Johnson's admits that you shouldn't overdo it because baby oil has no sunscreens. But that doesn't stop them from using the rest of the ad copy to tout that "the pale, romantic heroine is out. The tan, romantic heroine is in."
And don't forget that "the deeper the tan, the longer it'll last after summer is gone." Plus, the skin cancer you'll develop can last forever! Whee!
