You know- the lyrics may be trash but the tune, and ESPECIALLY his vocals, are actually lovely. Especially when he goes all out Lambertian at the end with his high notes.
All he needs is a better lyricist and a less generic music writer (please Adam, keep the ballads to a minimum) and I am set to make his future album the very first American Idol alum album I will have ever purchased.
For a first effort Post-Idol this is certainly one of the best to come out. And while that isn't saying much it does give me hope that he won't disappear.
This song had me worried that his album would be crap but then I heard For Your Entertainment and a rainbow descended from above and blue birds began to sing and I knew everything would be alright.
I just wish he'd tone down all this black goth shit. Seriously who wears black leather trench coats and studded fingerless gloves?
